Returning Student Application

Upon logging in to SMC, all guardians and self-guardian roles will see a banner that informs them that it's time to register for the next school year. This banner displays on all tabs to ensure visibility.

  • Clicking on the Remind me later button will hide the banner for 7 days, and then it will reappear. There is no limit to how often this can happen within the enrollment period.

  • Clicking on the Get Started! button will push the user to StrongMind Enrollments (aka what is known as Enrollment Dashboard today), allowing the user to fill out the returning application(s).

  • Selecting a student on the dashboard will push the guardian/self-guardian to the first page of the returning application which is the Intent to Return page. The main purpose of this page is to understand if the student in question plans to return for the following school year.

  • If Yes is selected on the first question, two additional required questions will be displayed for the user to answer to proceed to the next page.

  • If No is selected on the first question, two different required questions will be displayed for the user to answer to proceed to the next page.

    • The user will be pushed to the Summary page (the application's final page) if No was selected on the Intent to Return page.

  • Every page displays a progress bar at the top of the page that helps the user understand how much they have accomplished and how much is left in their application.

  • If the user clicks on the Next button on any page and there are required fields that have not been fulfilled, errors will display allowing the user to understand which fields need to be filled out in order to proceed to the next page.
